Vespasian, (A.D. 69-79), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 71, (24.73 grams), obv. laureate head of Vespasian to right, around IMP CAES VESPAS AVG P M TR P PP COS III, rev. around to left, ROMA, Roma standing to left, holding Victory and spear, (cf.S.2331 [£300 VF], RIC 443, C.418). Light brown patina, rough lettering otherwise very fine/nearly very fine and rare.
