Claudius, (A.D. 41-54), silver denarius, Lugdunum mint, issued A.D. 46-47, (3.310 grams), obv. laureate head of Claudius to right, around TI CLAVD CAESAR AVG PM TR P VI IMP XI, rev. S P Q R / P P / OB C S in three lines all within oak-wreath, (S.1848 [£650 VF], RIC 41, BMC 45, RSC 87). Porosity in field, otherwise nearly very fine and very rare.
