Macedon, Kingdom of Alexander III (the Great), (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, Babylon mint, issued c.311-305 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, MI over Nike to left in field, wreath with monogram under throne, (as Price 3760 but with dot inside P in monogram in wreath under throne, cf.S.6713). Dumpy and small flan, otherwise good fine and apparently an unpublished variant.
