Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochus III, (219-217 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.214 grams), Series II, Group B, Susa mint (Spaer uncertain Mesopotamian mint), issued 212-204 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus III to right in high relief, rev. Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, on right, **BASILEWS and to left **ANTIOXOU, rose to left, AT monogram to right, (cf.S.6936, Newell ESM 396, SNG Israel I [Spaer] 726-7 [Pl.46]). Minor cut on hair, with attractive bright silver colour in high relief, otherwise extremely fine.

Newell notes a total of 9 tetradrachms of this type in public and private collections from four obverse dies.
