Sicily, Syracuse, (c.485-479 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.808 grams), obv. slow quadriga driven to left by male charioteer, Nike flying left crowning horses, rev. **SU*R**A KO S I O N around to right, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, diadem of beads, four dolphins around, (cf.S.913, Boehringer 75 same dies [obverse 36/reverse 50 dies], BMC 22 [same dies]). Very fine with a large flan, a very rare die combination.

Boehringer notes only 3 specimens from these dies. The obverse to left very unusual and rare.
