Honorius, (A.D. 393-423), gold solidus, Constantinople mint, issued A.D. 397-402 (4.24 grams), officina H, obv. pearl diademed bust draped and cuirassed of Honorius to right, around D N HONORI VS P F AVG, rev. CONCORDI A AVGG H, Constantinopolis seated facing, holding sceptre and Victory on globe, CONOB in exergue, (S.4242, RIC 8, C.3). Large flan, reverse scratch, otherwise good very fine and very scarce.
