Description

Licinius I and Licinius II, (A.D. 308-324 and 317-324), AE folles, issued 320-321, Cyzicus mint, (3.628 grams), obv. confronted busts of Licinius I and Licinius II holding Victory on globe, around DD NN IOVII LICINII INVICT AVG ET CAES, rev. Victort standing right with branch offering wreath to Jupiter standing left holding sceptre around IOM ET VICT CONSER DD NN AVG ET CAES, SMKB in exergue, (S.-, RIC 13 [R5], Bastion Num. Chron, 1973 [p.90, 4, notes only one example of this officina known). With some surface porosity, otherwise fine - very fine and excessively rare, being probably the second example known.
