Severus Alexander, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 227, Rome mint, (2.67 grams), obv. laureate bust to right, draped and cuirassed, around IMP C M AVR SEV ALEXAND AVG, rev. LIBERT AS AVG, Libertas standing to left holding pileus and long sceptre, in left field a star, (S.2214, RIC 286, RSC 147). Toned, extremely fine/nearly extremely fine.
