Thrace, Island of, Thrace, Thasos, (c.after 148 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.916 grams), obv. head of young Dionysos to right, wreathed with ivy and band across forehead, rev. Herakles naked standing to left, holding club, lion skin over left arm, to right **HRAKLEOUS*, to left **SWTHROS, below **FASIWN, M to left, (cf.S.1759, SNG Cop. 1039); Carian Islands, Rhodes, (304-167 B.C.), silver didrachm, (5.85 grams), obv. Helios facing radiate, rev. rose with bud above **[M]NASI[MACOU]*, (S.5058, SNG Cop. 765-6). Second with chip out of edge and porosity, otherwise very good - fine. (2)
