Mark Antony and Octavian, (Spring-Summer 41 B.C.), gold aureus, mint moving with Mark Antony probably struck at Ephesus, (8.208 grams), obv. bare head of Mark Antony to right, M. ANT. IMP. AVG. III. VIR. R.P.C. BARBAT Q. P around, rev. bare head of Octavian to right, CAESAR IMP PONT III VIR R.P.C., around, (S.1502 [£8500], Cr.517/1a, C.7, BMC 98). Good very fine and very rare.
Crawford has determined that 15 obverse dies were used for this type.
