SUNDERLAND, R. Burdon, Denton's penny 1796, view of iron bridge with two vessels passing beneath/legend within wreath (D&H 3). Struck over an anglesey penny. Some original mint red, uncirculated and very rare.

Ex T.A. Jan (lot 51) Collection. Rowland Burdon M.P., was a principal financier of the Bridge which was constructed between 1793 and 1796 and demolished in 1929.
