Catalogue 130B: The Verene Collection

We are pleased to announce that catalogue 130B is now available for viewing online. It features the Verene Collection of British proof coins in gold, silver, and bronze 1826–1970. The collection has been formed by an Australian resident and largely sourced from the UK from 2009 till 2013. Each coin and maundy set are offered individually as are some commemorative medallions for the coronations and jubilees as issued by the Royal Mint. The total estimates for the collection are $1.6 million, with the Una five pounds topping the bill at $650,000.The collection is listed in a separate catalogue with the historical and technical details and description done by the collector himself, while the grading descriptions and estimates have been prepared by Jim Noble.

A limited hard bound version of the catalogue will be available at $100, and a soft cover version at $65, plus postage. The auction takes place both online and live in the room at 7:30pm AEST on Wednesday 27th July 2022.
