ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.400-350 B.C.), silver nomos, stater or didrachm, (7.39 grams), obv. head of Apollo to right, rev. corn ear, MET[A] to left, (cf.S.410 [£550], Noe 461, SNG Lockett 393, SNG ANS 349 (same dies); another Thurium (350-300 B.C.), (7.5 grams), obv. Athena helmeted to right, ornamented with Scylla, rev. bull butting right, **QOURIWN* above, dolphin below, (cf.S.447, SNG ANS 1048 [same dies]). Fine - good fine, both rare types. (2)
