GROUP OF TEN: Australian Active Service Medal 1991, - three clasps - East Timor, ICAT, Iraq 2003; INTERFET Medal 2000; Afghanistan Medal 2004; Iraq Medal 2004; Australian Service Medal 1991, - clasp - Timor Leste; Defence Force Long Service Medal, (15 years) and clasp (5 years extra); Australian Defence Medal 2006; United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET) Medal 2000; NATO Medal 1994, - clasp - ICAT; Timor Leste Solidarity Medal 2008. The last medal is a copy however the original in its official case including a miniature and riband bar is included. l68000779 J P Quinn on first two medals, 8238091 J.P.Quinn on second to seventh medals, the other medals unnamed as issued. All named medals pantographed. Court mounted and in a purpose built Australian Army storage case, extremely fine.

Together with Army Combat Badge; matching set of nine miniatures court mounted plus loose DLSM clasp, the tenth miniature is loose in case with the full size medal as mentioned above; matching set of ten ribands on bars of 2, 4 and 4; Returned from Active Service badge (KC) modern issue; Jason Quinn Army uniform name badge.

Nominated for Conspicuous Service Medal.

Brigade Commander's Commendation in 2010 for outstanding service to the unit and brigade.

Awarded 4 Field Regiment Sergeant of the Year in 2010.

Born in Hobart Tasmania 24Nov1975; joined the Australian Army Reserve (AARES) on 24Nov1992 aged 17, however had been parading unpaid for a period of 2 months; conducted AARES recruit training and was allocated to the Infantry Corps to complete initial employment training; posted to 12/40 Royal Tasmanian Regiment, Bellerive, Tasmania; joined the Australian Regular Army (ARA) 13Sep1993; underwent recruit training at Kapooka, Wagga Wagga, NSW; allocated to the Royal Australian Corps of Artillery (RAA) as a Gun Number (Gunner); then proceeded to the School of Artillery, Manly, NSW for initial enlistment training; upon completion of initial employment training was posted to 4th Field Regiment in Townsville, QLD, Lavarack Barracks; while posted to Royal Regiment of Artillery was employed in the following roles; Gunner (GNR) - Gun Number, Signaller in the Command Post and Forward Observation role and an Operator Command Post. Lance Bombardier/Bombardier (LBDR/BDR) - Gun Detachment second in charge (2ic), Forward Observer Assistant, Joint Terminal Air Controller (JTAC), Operator Command Post Bombardier (now known as an Artillery Command System Operator, ACSO) Sergeant (SGT) - Gun Detachment Commander, Troop SGT, ACSO SGT, Plans/Operations SGT.

Operations;

1999 - International Force East Timor (INTERFET), deployed as a re-rolled Infantry soldier in Delta Company 3 RAR, then later formed 108 Fd Company (Artillery). Warlike.

2001/2002 - Operation Tanager, deployed with 2 RAR and employed on the East Timor Border area of Bobonaro. Conducted recon surveillance and overwatch duties also conducted civil military affairs duties when required. Warlike.

2006 - Deployed to Timor Leste (formally known as East Timor) in an Infantry role Platoon SGT. Mainly patrolling Dili and the surrounding suburbs. Non warlike.

2007 - Deployed to IRAQ conducted forward observation duties and joint terminal air attacks with coalition aircraft and helicopters. Warlike.

2008 - Deployed to Afghanistan as a Joint Terminal Air Controller conducting joint terminal air attacks with coalition aircraft and helicopters. Warlike.

2011 - Deployed to Timor Leste as the Platoon Sgt in charge of radio voice communications for Timor Leste. Non warlike.

Other notable events include training in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Hawaii, USA.

Conducted training and operations across a broad stream of operating environments with Australian and coalition forces, some of which cannot be disclosed because of 'Secrecy' restrictions.
