PENANG (PULU PENANG OR PRINCE OF WALES ISLAND), East India Company silver half dollar, 1788, edge plain (not in collar), die axis upright or en medaille (Pr.1; KM.7). Planchet flaw in top left corner of shield, beautifully toned even light grey brown, nearly extremely fine and very rare, one of the finest known and a great South East Asian rarity.
