BASIL II, (976-1025) with Constantine VIII, gold histamenon nomisma, Constantinople mint, issued 1005-1025, obv. Christ bust facing wears nimbus, in hand the Gospels, rev. Basil II on left wearing loros and Constantine VII on right wearing chlamys, both busts facing each wearing crown and holding patriarchal cross between, (S.1800, DOC 6a). Edge knock, otherwise extremely fine and scarce.
