COWLES COMMERCIAL ACADEMY, Hobart Town, The Reward of Merit, 1845, in silver (47mm) (18.7 grams), English hallmarks with letters W.R., plain silver disc engraved both sides and made with a ring support attached to the top, obv. inscribed around 'Cowles Commercial Academy Hobart Town' with engraved globe on stand surmounted by a callipers, rev. 'The Reward of Merit, Hubert Jerome Kean, Dec. 1845', with engraved quill, and a book with 'Hear Read Mark Learn'. Very fine and extremely rare.
