RENFREWSHIRE, Paisley, W. Langmuir's five shillings and three pence or dollar, a Charles IIII, Mexico City Mint eight reales 1805 countermarked, on obverse 'Payable by W. Langmuir', around a bishop holding a mitre and flanked by two shields, reverse Paisley dollar Society around a wreath enclosing 5/3 (Davis 112). Very fine and very rare.

Ex Glendinings sale 4 April 1979 (lot 346). Thirteen specimens known, issued from 1813.
