DERBYSHIRE, Cromford, Arkwright & Co., four shillings and ninepence, Charles IIII Mexico City Mint eight reales, 1799 countermarked as before but 4/9 in centre (Davis 24). The countermark over a previous countermark of which only the final letter N remains. Host coin good fine, countermark unevenly applied otherwise good very fine and rare.

Purchased from Spink in 1975.
