SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VII, (138-129 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (13.54 grams), Tyre mint, issued 131-0 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus VII to right, rev. eagle standing to left with closed wings on prow of galley, palm branch behind, Tyre monogram above club to left, year to right B**PR*, other letters in field, around **BASILEWS ANTIOCOU*, (cf.S.7094, Newell 'Tyre' [ANS-MN 73] 193). Attractive dark tone, extremely fine, scarce.
