MACEDON, Kingdom of Philip III, (323-316 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.40 grams), Babylon mint, issued 323-317 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right with lion skin, rev. Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched hand, wheel and monogram in lower left field, monogram under throne, to right **FILIPPOU, below **[B]ASILEWS, (cf.S.6749, Price P189, BMC P189a-b, M.P29). Surface porosity on the reverse, otherwise good very fine/fine, scarce.
