MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip III, (323-316 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.4 grams), 'Aradus' mint, issued 323-317 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right with lion skin, rev. Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched hand, thunderbolt and monogram in left field, Z below throne, to right **FILIPPO[U]*, in exergue **BASILE[WS], (cf.S.6749, Price P141). Slightly porous field on both sides, otherwise good fine.
