MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.65 grams), Amphipolis mint, issued 318-308 B..C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, dolphin to left, and **PO* under throne, to right **ALEXANDROU, (cf.S.6713, Price 133, BMC 133, M.542). Porosity on coin, fine - very fine with original tickets.
