VALENTINIAN I (A.D. 364-375), gold solidus, Antioch mint, issued 364-367, Officina **Q*, (4.3 grams), obv. pearl diademed, draped and cuirassed bust to right of Valentinian I around DN VALENTINI ANVS PF AVG, rev. Valentinian standing facing head to right, holding labarum with chi-rho symbol and Victory, RESTITVTOR REIPVBLICAE around, **SMNQ*,* in exergue, (cf.S.4088, RIC 2a). Grafitti on obverse and reverse, otherwise fine and scarce.
