EARLY ANGLO-SAXON PERIOD, Frisian (Continental) imitation silver sceatta, c.700-750 A.D., 1.22 grams, obv.'plumed bird right', rev. pellets below, abstract VOTA standard, (S.842, Metcalf 201, E series issue, variety G). Sharply struck and toned, extremely fine.
