ROYAL VISIT 1901, in bronze (27mm), un-pierced, overstruck from two reverse dies (M.-). Good very fine.
An un-recorded mule. W.H. Lampard notes 'Rev.C over Rev.C, one side overstruck on Duke and Duchess Obv., one side overstruck on an obverse die'. Purchased from Bill Leggett, Wellington in 1983.
