INDIA, Vijayanagar Empire, Achyutaraya (1529-1542), gold pagoda, (3.4 grams), obv. two headed mythical eagle facing, (cf.M.471-3 [half pagoda]). Very fine/fine, rare.

Examples of pagodas are cited by Mitchiner (South India Part I) and a half pagoda was in the Spink - Taisei Sale 9 (lot 239-240).
