HENRY VIII, (1509-1547), posthumous gold half sovereign issued by Edward VI, seated figure issue, third coinage type, mm. lis, issued 1547-1549, Tower mint, with youthful portrait and sceptre, (S.2391, N.1865). Good fine, weak in places, and rare.

Ex B.A. Seaby Ltd, London, purchased in 1978.
