WORLD WAR II, Port Pirie War Coupon, value one shilling, Not Transferable, No.80, ink rubber stamp signature of the secretary, H.F.Severn, uniface. Light green front, brown back, and apparently unpublished. Fine - very fine and very rare.

Ex Spink Noble Sale 32 (lot 912). Possibly used by Italian POW's working on the transcontinental railway during 1942, which spread over a distance of 450 kilometres from Port Pirie Junction, South Australia into Western Australia.
