EDWARD III (1327-1377), gold quarter noble, Pre-Treaty period, Series G, issued 1356-1361, saltire stops in legend, London mint, mm. cross, dots either side of upper lis on reverse, (S.1498, N.1191, Schneider SCBI 47 No.49). Slightly crinkled, rusty obverse die, otherwise good fine and very scarce.

Ex Auckland Coin Company, New Zealand coin dealer 1960's, purchased 1966.
