EDWARD III (1327-1377), gold noble, Pre-Treaty period, Series E, issued 1354-1355, annulet stops in legend, London mint, mm. cross, (S.1488, N.1160). Very full flan, trace of mount-mark at 12.00, otherwise very fine and very scarce.

Ex Colin McNaught, Wellington Stamp & Coin dealer 1960's-1970's, purchased December 1970.
