NORTH THAMES, Inscribed issue, Trinovantes, Cunobeline (A.D. 10 - 43), gold quarter stater, coinage of Cunobeline wild type, issued A.D. 10 - 20, (1.0 grams), obv. Corn ear with traces of CA to left and MV to right, rev. celticized horse to right, branch above, CV[NO] below horse, (S.293, Van A. 1935-1 notes as extremely rare). Fine/very fine and very rare.

Ex Doug Carian, Palmerston North coin dealer, New Zealand, the lot includes a Spink London ticket of late 19th early 20th century written by Leonard Forrer, ticket marked 27/6.
