PORT PHILLIP, Kangaroo Office pattern sixpence in bronze by W.J. Taylor, plain edge (3.580 grams), 1.8mm thick (piedfort). Brilliant bronzed proof FDC, extremely rare.

Ex Spink Stern Auction Sale October 30, 1975 (lot 74) from J. Gartner Collection and J. Smith Collection. Regarded by R. Jewell as probably the only surviving example and from the first striking of these sixpences.
