BOLIVIA, Ferdinand VI, (1746-1760), cob eight reales, Potosi mint, 1750 (dated once), assayer E, (21.5 grams), obv. arms of Leon and Castille, 75X below, rev. two crowned pillars, 8 above, 750 below, P and E, (KM.40). Dark tone, usual flan, good weight and surfaces, very fine and a scarce date, with certificate of wreck source.
From the wreck of the 'Nossa Senhora Da Luz'. See note above. This coin was sold at Public Auction November 6, 1997 by the Auction house of Castells & Castells, catalogue 84, Montevideo in Uruguay. This coin was lot 154 (No.3/5) from that sale.
