BOLIVIA, Ferdinand VI, (1746-1760), cob eight reales, Potosi mint, 1750 (dated twice), assayer E, (24.7 grams), obv. arms of Leon and Castille, 750 below, rev. two crowned pillars, 8 above, 750 below, P and E, (KM.40). Cleaned, usual flan, good weight and surfaces, very fine and a scarce date, with certificate of wreck source.
From the wreck of the 'Nossa Senhora Da Luz'. See note above. This coin was sold at Public Auction November 6, 1997 by the Auction house of Castells & Castells, catalogue 84, Montevideo in Uruguay. This coin was lot 152 (No.2/2) from that sale.
