BOLIVIA, Philip IV (1621-1665), cob eight reales, countermarked probably with crown/S but weak, type c.1651, date off flan but 16[51], Potosi mint, Assayer O with internal dot, (25.9 gms), (Cal.498 [without countermark], cf.KM.C19.5). Struck with usual weak areas, dark grey patination, coin generally fine - very fine, partial countermark very fine and an extremely rare countermark on this type coin.
Ex. `Maravillas' wreck.
