PHILIP II, (A.D. 247-249), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 247-249, (19.7 grams), obv. laureate bust of Philip II to right draped and cuirassed, around IMP PHILIPPVS AVG, rev. around PAX AETERNA, S C across field, Pax standing to left, holding sceptre and branch, (S.2672, RIC 268c, C.25). Attractive brown/green patination, round, nearly extremely fine portrait, otherwise good very fine/very fine.
