SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VI, (144-142 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.47 grams), Antioch mint, issued year 170 = 143-142 B.C., obv. radiate head of Antiochus VI to right, fillet border, rev. the Dioscouroi on horseback charging to left, above **BASILEWS ANTIOCOU and below **EPIFANOUS over **DIONUSOU, to right monogram PXA above TPY and **STA, to left date OP, all within wreath, (cf.S.7072, Newell SMA 242, BN Paris 994). Light porosity on obverse from worn dies, otherwise nearly extremely fine and rare.
