MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.180 grams), Sardes mint, issued 323-319 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, torch to left, A under throne, to right **[ALE]XAN[DROU]*, (S.6730, Price 2637, BMC 2637a-C, M.31). Fine, scarce.
