BOMBAY PRESIDENCY, Indian Design, Surat mint, 1800-1815, in the name of Shah Alam II (A.H.1173-1221, A.D. 1759-1806), Regnal Year 46, rupees (3), one small dumpy flan early issue, another larger round flan date off flan, another a base metal contemporary forgery, similar half rupees (3), two without dates, (Pr. 253, 254, cf.KM.663, 664). Clear dates extremely fine, others very fine, forgery fine. (6)

Pridmore notes that base metal contemporary forgeries are common.
