PORT ELIZABETH, Guthrie and Co, cartage contractors to the railway and harbour, worker's tally in brass, uniface (C75; M.511) another but with stars instead of roses as dividers (M.512)(illus) undated but circa 1903. Fine - very fine (2).

The first ex Spink Sale 96 (lot 370 part), the second ex R.J.Ford (lot 910 part) Collection. This firm had a branch at Uitenhage (see lot (1111) for Cape Railway Co. tallies).
