CAPE COLONY, J.H.Cartwright, set of zinc tokens 20/-, 10/-, 2/6, 1/- and 6d (Theron C1)(M.9-14). Better than average set as most known survived a flood and were discovered in 1950. Fine to very fine and rare (5).
Ex R.J.Ford Collection (lot 910 part in Spink Australia Sale). These tokens were issued 1898 - 1912 only between Saldanha Bay and George and Knysna.
