CHRIST'S HOSPITAL (SCHOOL) MONITOR'S OR MARKER'S MEDAL (1787), in silver (35mm) by L. Pingo reverse foundation year 1552, edge inscribed 'Henry Clyde Fletcher 1843' (Eimer 29, Eimer Pingo obverse 66b reverse 66a; M.1851-4). Apparently a mule of the two sets of dies, very fine and rare as such.
Purchased from Spink in 1973.
