WARWICKSHIRE, Birmingham, W.J. Davis and J. Macmillan, New Centenary tokens 1893 and 1894, struck as bronzed copper proofs on halfpenny size blanks. (Davis 'Warwickshire' 836/897) (Bell pp.273-4.) The complete set of twenty one. A total of 51 sets were struck and issued by subscription. The issue helped publicise Davis' 'The Token Coinage of Warwickshire,' Birmingham, 1895. Sold with original black leatherette case of issue, nearly FDC and very rare. (21) $$ Ex W. Sykes Collection (lot 291)
