L. MUSSIDIUS LONGUS, (42 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.26 grams), obv. winged bust of Victory to right, rev. Victory in biga L. MVSSIDIVS above, [LONGVS] below, (S.-, Cr. 494/40, Syd.1095, B. Mussidia 4 [£85]); another (3.03 grams), obv. veiled bust of Concord to right, CONCORDIA behind, rev. L. MVSSIDIVS LONGVS above platform inscribed CLOACIN with two statues of Venus Cloacina, (S.-, Cr.494/42a, Syd.1093, B. Mussidia 6b [£60]); another (3.74 grams), obv. facing bust of Sol, radiate and draped, rev. similar to previous coin, (S.332 [£150], Cr.494/43a, Syd. 1094, B. Mussidia 7 [£80]); another (2.48 grams) plated as previous coin; another Julius Caesar (3.14 grams), denarius copy, obv. bare head of Julius Caesar to right, rev. Cornucopiae on globe, L. MVSSIDIVS LONGVS around, (cf.S.372, Cr.494/39a, Syd.1096). First coin, nearly fine, second and third coins fine, fourth and last coins nearly very fine, fourth plated, fifth cast, all very scarce. Less than 30, 87 and 51 obverse dies used, calculated for each of the first three coins in order above according to Crawford.
