PETILLIUS CAPITOLINUS, (43 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.47 grams), obv. eagle on thunderbolt head to right, PETILLIVS above, CAITOLINVS below, rev. S - F separated by temple of six columns, plain in exergue, (S.326 [£120], Cr.487/2b, Syd.1151, B. Petillia 3 [£60]). Banker's mark T in left field f obverse, otherwise, nearly very fine/good fine and very scarce.

Ex. Duke of Northumberland Collection, Sotheby's London, November 4, 1982, (lot 459 part). Smyth XI/39. Crawford has determined that 85 obverse dies were used for this type.
