PETILLIUS CAPITOLINUS, (43 B.C.), plated silver denarius, Rome mint, (2.89 grams), obv. Jupiter head to right, [CA]PITOLINVS behind, rev. temple of six columns, PETILLIVS in exergue, (S.-, Cr.487/1, Syd.1149, B. Petillia 1 [£85]). Areas of green on obverse and reverse, otherwise, nearly very fine/good fine and rare.

Ex. Duke of Northumberland Collection, Sotheby's London, November 4, 1982, (lot 459). Smyth XI/38. Crawford has determined that 34 obverse dies were used for this type.
