Q. POMPEIUS RUFUS, (c.54 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.41 grams), obv. Q. POMPEI Q F /RVFV[S] above curule chair between arrow and laurel wreath, COS below on tablet, rev. SVLLA COS above curule chair between lituus and wreath, Q POMPEI RVF below on tablet, (S.308 [£300], Cr. 434/2, Syd.909, B.Pompeia 5). Off centred on the obverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine and very rare thus.
