P. LICINIUS CASSIUS, (c.55 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.94 grams), obv. Venus laureate and diademed bust to right, S C behind, rev. female figure standing before her horse hold bridle, shield and cuirass at her feet, P. CRASSIVS M.F. around, (S.-, Cr.430/1, Syd.929, B.Licinia 18 [£85]). Off centred on obverse, blue and gold patina, good fine and scarce.

Ex. Christie's London, July 1, 1980 (lot 53 part). 63 obverse dies used for this coinage as calculated by Crawford.
