Q. CASSIUS LONGINUS, (c.55 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.58 grams), obv. Vesta veiled head to right, VEST before, Q. CASSIVS behind, rev. curule chair within circular temple of Vesta between urn and voting tablet inscribed AC, (S.303 [£120], Cr.428/1, Syd.917, B.Cassia 9 [£70]). Dark red and gold attractive patina, extremely fine and rare.

Ex. Martin Daniels, Sydney, November 22, 1972. 36 obverse dies used for this coinage as calculated by Crawford.
